Hanna Bienert is a Berlin-based jazz violinist with an international training and a wide-ranging artistic practice. She discovered her passion for jazz and improvised music early on.
Her musical path led her to Paris, where she studied for several years with the renowned jazz violinist Didier Lockwood. There she deepened the tradition of jazz violin and developed her own musical voice, shaped by melodic clarity, expressive depth and stylistic openness.
Over the course of her career she has appeared on many stages across Europe and contributed to a variety of ensembles and projects. Alongside her work as a performer, she also devotes herself to composition and arranging for different contexts, including theatre, pop and film.
She is currently part of the duo Strings in Motion, reinterpreting forgotten German classics of the twentieth century alongside the guitarist Romani Weiss, between swing, Latin American rhythms and orchestrally led jazz violin.
